Plascon Easy Living Total Prime 1L (EUP) is a high-performance water-based primer designed for a wide range of interior and exterior applications. Formulated for maximum adhesion, sealing and obliteration, it creates the perfect basecoat for long-lasting, professional paint finishes.
Total Prime is suitable for an exceptionally wide range of substrates including fibre cement, melamine, MDF, soft and hard wood, ceramic tiles, polished and matt tiles, aluminium, galvanized iron, glass, PVC and weathered enamels .
With its fast drying technology (touch dry ±30 min; recoat ±2 hrs at 23°C), contractors and DIY users benefit from faster turnaround times and efficient workflow. The primer’s excellent sealing properties help stabilise porous or chalky surfaces, while its strong hiding power ensures an even, uniform surface for topcoat application.
Plascon Easy Living Total Prime 1L is formulated as a 0 g/L TVOC acrylic emulsion primer, making it low-odour, environmentally responsible and comfortable to use indoors. It can be applied by brush, roller or airless spray, with no thinning recommended.

Theoretical spreading rate is approximately 11 m² per litre on smooth, properly prepared surfaces. Actual coverage may vary depending on surface profile and application tools.

What are the ideal conditions for applying this primer?
For best results:
Apply when the temperature is between 10°C and 40°C
Avoid painting in very high humidity or if rain is expected
Ensure the surface is completely dry and clean before priming
How should I prepare previously painted surfaces?
Good condition: Remove loose paint, clean thoroughly and fill defects.
Weathered enamel: Clean with a suitable detergent, sand to a matt finish, rinse and allow to dry.
Poor condition: Remove flaking paint completely, clean, rinse and let dry before priming.
